As an Economics student at UC Santa Barbara I am excited to be learning about the complex factors that drive our global economy. Throughout my studies I have been gaining and improving skills such as my understanding of economic theory, critical thinking, and quantitative analysis. In the future, I am looking to pursue a career where I can best apply the skills I have been building.My previous work and life experience has also taught me important lessons that I will take with me in the future. Working with kids as a climbing instructor improved my ability to communicate effectively and my leadership skills. It also instilled in me the importance of following procedures while still being able to think on my feet when an unexpected situation arises. Additionally my dedication to my school work and hobbies throughout the years has helped me see even more clearly how hard work truly does pay dividends when applied consistently.
