MONTE CARLO SIMULATIONS OF COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHYFOR MEDICAL IMAGINGDescription:The scope of this research project is image reconstruction of different body parts with X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) and to find the radiation exposure of the patient during the CT process. Computed Tomography (CT) scanning uses special X-ray devices to generate multiple views of details of organs and/or tumors.• Used Back projection method based on Radon Transform for simulating image reconstruction.• Used FLUKA, a Monte Carlo code written in FORTRAN, to simulate transport of particles.• Used on Wolfram Mathematica tool for computational purpose.• Meet regularly with supervisor to discuss research progress.
