Language FellowBleu Blanc Rouge Global Aug 2016 - Nov 2016Pune Area, IndiaBleu Blanc Rouge, a pioneer institute offering best-in-class language services. The out-of-the-box techniques practised at BBR acknowledge that globalization has bridged the gaps among different language speaking worlds underlining the need to communicate with each other. Apart from working in a company as an engineer, Kiran spends his time at BBR engaged in various linguistics activities. -
Powertrain EngineerTeam Haya Sep 2013 - Jul 2016Bengaluru, Karnataka, IndiaTeam Haya is a formula student team at PES University. The team builds Formula 1 model cars and participates in various competitions organized by SAE.Being a part of the engine and powertrain subsystem, I was responsible for the design and development of the intake system for the car. The CAD software CatiaV5 was used for modeling the intake system. Hypermesh was used for meshing the model, and flow analysis was done using Ansys Fluent.A 1D simulation was carried out for the engine used in our Formula Student vehicle.Hand calculations were made in order to study the effect of radiation heat transfer from the engine on the driver through the firewall.Pressure drop calculations were made for the engine coolant flow, and radiator hose length was optimized to minimize pressure drop. The calibration of some of the engine sensors was done in-house.

Student InternMercedes-Benz Research And Development India May 2015 - Aug 2015BangaloreMy work was mainly on suspension systems, where I was assigned the task of creating a mathematical model for leaf springs generally employed in heavy commercial vehicles. It involved the use of principles of kinematics, the theory of machines. The project was a success, with our mathematical model clearly capturing the behavior of leaf springs under bumps and rebounds. Further, this study was expected to help predict steering system behavior. One more project was 'Steering effort prediction in heavy commercial vehicles'. The project was aimed at developing a theoretical method to predict steering effort in heavy vehicles. -
Undergraduate Research AssistantKanoe(Knowledge Analytics And Ontological Engineering) May 2013 - May 2014Pes University,BangaloreAs a research assistant, I was associated with the ontology of heat exchangers. This work was supposed to help choose an appropriate heat exchanger for a particular application.
