Leadership role at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN, a global non profit governance organization, where governments participate along with private interest groups to set internet policies, rules and regulations that affect the security and stability of the Internet). The Intellectual Property Constituency (IPC) is the advocacy organization within ICANN dedicated to monitoring and influencing issues such as intellectual property ownership (trademarks, copyrights and related IP) and the domain name system (DNS), consumer protection, data privacy, contacts, intermediary liability, and technical specifications.Responsibilities included managing organizational networking opportunities, industry outreach (engagement, awareness, education), and participation/policy activities. The Secretary manages Membership and Outreach Committees, Participation & Policy Coordinator and the ICANN-provided Secretariat. As the appointed Participation & Policy Coordinator; identified opportunities for engagement and assisted the Secretary to identify key players in the community to engage within the Intellectual Property Constituency to further policy and government affairs goals.

Coordinated and facilitated client-advised policy goals to further intellectual property protection and enforcement strategies, with a focus on online protection and enforcement. Identified and developed strategic plans for engagement and influence in internet governance and legal/legislative/political matters related to intellectual property, brand protection, data privacy/access, trade, consumer protection, free speech, third-party/intermediary liability, piracy and fraud.
