The Intellectual Property Constituency (IPC) is the advocacy organization within ICANN dedicated to monitoring and influencing issues such as intellectual property ownership (trademarks, copyrights and related IP) and the domain name system (DNS), consumer protection, data privacy, contacts, intermediary liability, and technical specifications.Responsibilities included managing organizational networking opportunities, industry outreach (engagement, awareness, education), and participation/policy activities. The Secretary manages Membership and Outreach Committees, Participation & Policy Coordinator and the ICANN-provided Secretariat. As the appointed Participation & Policy Coordinator; identified opportunities for engagement and assisted the Secretary to identify key players in the community to engage within the Intellectual Property Constituency to further policy and government affairs goals.
