Lead Research Assistant on $1M Air Force and America Makes project to create new delta qualification process for LPBF additive manufacturing. Researched, purchased, installed, and managed $15000 of industrial camera equipment used on EOS M290. Created 3D print layouts in Materialise Magics. Designed and FDM 3D printed custom mounts for camera equipment using SolidWorks and Elegoo Neptune 4 printers. Operated EOS M290 machine for multiple builds and maintained working order of LPBF process components.

I collaborated with the Aerodynamics team to model the aircraft design in OpenVSP and MATLAB. Finished ahead of MIT, Stanford, Georgia Tech, UCLA, USC, Cornell, WashU, Columbia, UMich, UIUC, Purdue, CalPoly, and others.

On a team of over 10 people, I designed and constructed 10+ wooden airdropped delivery capsules and wing attachment brackets for the team aircraft at 2022 AIAA DBF Competition.

Conducted aeroacoustics research on supersonic rectangular twin jet nozzles for fighter aircraft to determine noise and vibration levels. Used electric arc active flow control devices to attempt noise reduction.

Collaborated with team of 4 to design and rapid prototype a new type of maritime vehicle with composites, resulting in a stealthy, autonomous, and ocean-capable watercraft. Used SolidWorks and nTopology to create 3D printed handheld boat models on Formlabs SLA printer (for a visual & tactile presentation of the boat). Assisted with developing automation and communication system using microelectronics, Python code, and radios. Researched and developed a strain gauge based depth sensing system for a mini-submarine. Held a Confidential security clearance.

Lead research assistant for $750,000 Air Force AFWERX STTR Phase II project involving AI & ML to improve metal LPBF Additive Manufacturing. Researched, purchased, installed, and managed $15000 of industrial camera equipment used on GE Concept Laser M2 and EOS M290. Documented & presented background research, tasks, and data analysis of research activity in 300+ concise powerpoint slides to CEO of customer company. Independently designed over 15 components in SolidWorks for various purposes including custom mounting hardware custom vacuum accessories. Printed components with a plastic FDM printer (Stratasys F370). Refurbished a sandblasting machine back to working order and developed documentation/procedure for maintenance process. Drafted project proposals.

Mentored 40 students learning to code with MATLAB in ENGR 1187 class.

On a team of 10+ people, I contributed to the team drone's chassis design, technical reports, aircraft construction, and flight testing. Resulted in an excellently performing drone, finishing 1st place at VFS DBVF Competition.

On a team of 8, we created an eVTOL flying car based on Air Force Agility Prime and recorded it in a 111-page technical document. Coordinated with other members to delegate responsibilities. I researched and designed ~15 suspension and steering components in Onshape.This was led by Dr. Rob Williams, a seasoned former Air Force and DARPA executive.

As the culmination of my Boy Scout Career, I organized the planting of 12 Lilac trees at Northam Park in Upper Arlington, Ohio. I led ~20 kids on planting day and taught them how to plant the trees. Coordinated with the city of Upper Arlington and the St. Agatha Church to gather materials and alleviate project concerns.

As troop Instructor, I led the troop's educational activities during weekly meetings.

As Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, I assisted the Senior Patrol Leader with running weekly meetings and sending weekly troop emails, and took their position when they were not available. Member of Troop 532 in Kirkland, Washington.
