Set up the product content operations at Bangalore in February 2011, resulting in significant cost savings by stopping all product content outsourcing activities.2. Delivered over 150 successful product data enhancement projects, which resulted in enhanced customer experience and increased sales.3. As a seasoned component engineering professional with a strong background in optical networking equipment, I am responsible for bill of material risk management and mitigation, parts selection and management, and alternate part selection and qualification.Leading a team of 5 component engineers, I have delivered multiple value engineering projects that have involved connectors and optical transceivers. Additionally, I have defined the component qualification process for various components used in multiple optical networking platforms, and transitioned over 50 PCBAs into RoHS compliant versions.One of my key accomplishments has been playing a significant role in delivering supply chain benefits of approximately USD2.5M through alternate part recommendations and qualification. I was responsible for setting up and managing the electronic component database to define life cycle predictions for electronic components.I was part of a 3-member team which designed and implemented the Life Cycle Prediction model for electronic components based on the EIA 724 standard, which has provided a powerful tool for predicting and managing component obsolescence. The Life Cycle Prediction model I developed arrives at the current life cycle stage and years-to-end-of-life based on component technologies and manufacturer profiles available within the database. This has enabled our team to make informed decisions about component selection, stocking, and obsolescence management, resulting in creating a reference component database with life cycle prediction data.
