In this senior role at PICA I led a tight-knit team comprised of a marketing coordinator, graphic designer and freelance publicist to devise and deliver strategic communications to existing and prospective audiences for the organisation’s artistic, philanthropic and education programs. I oversaw all marketing and PR activity, plus development and production of branded collateral, editorial, imagery and video content across digital, print, radio and signage. I was responsible for KPIs such as box office revenue, exhibition and event attendance and media coverage.

We Love Perth was an online guide to the city that championed good local people, businesses and things to do. The site comprised an event guide, business directory, blog posts, interviews and reviews. The Treats for your Thursday e-news supplied a growing audience of enthusiastic and engaged Perth fans with regular updates.

I coordinated the development of several mobile responsive websites including www.visitperthcity.com. I created and acquired content for the Perth City website (formerly Show Me Perth), event sub-sites (Australia Day Skyworks, Eat Drink Perth, Perth Winter Arts Season & Festival of Christmas) and social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. My role involved managing relationships with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders to ensure current, informative, entertaining and accurate website content and functionality. I was also responsible for producing e-newsletters, providing reporting and recommendations, and managing blogger relations. I ran online giveaways, supported each marketing campaign through online channels and gave input into paid online and social media campaign components.

I managed the sourcing and delivery of travel products within the cruise market for promotion and sale through RAC Travel distribution channels. My duties included product planning, development and implementation to ensure RAC Travel’s continued relevance to the needs of RAC members.

Urban Walkabout published a series of free, contemporary lifestyle guides featuring fashion, food and design destinations in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. In addition to the printed guides, Urban Walkabout also had an online presence and monthly newsletter for each city as well as a free mobile app.

In this role I managed projects in the niche cruise tourism sector including the development of a Cruise WA brochure, establishment of a Statewide cruise committee, delivery of a cruise passenger research project, coordination of Tourism WA presence at cruise industry events and assistance in development and implementation of a WA Cruise Shipping Strategic Plan.

My role supporting Tourism WA's 10 core international markets (UK, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, USA, China, Korea, Japan, Indonesia) involved supplying timely and relevant information to in-market teams, enabling staff to maximise media exposure opportunities and advise travel trade of new developments.

During the busy Extraordinary Taxi Ride brand activation campaign I coordinated the creation and distribution of weekly electronic direct mails, uploaded content to the campaign microsite and managed the Tourism WA Twitter account whilst also assisting with the re-brand of the westernaustralia.com website.

Working autonomously as the sole salesperson on shift, I held responsibility for all cash handling and reconciliation, assessment of incoming stock, and creation of in-store displays.

As an attendant at the World Expo 2005 Australian Pavilion I assisted in directing 20,000 daily visitors through the Pavilion, many of whom were Japanese, answered questions about Australia in both English and Japanese, and ensured visitor safety, comfort and enjoyment.
