Siren launched in early 2020. As a co-founder, I have been involved in every aspect of the project from the initial idea and planning, to administration and content production. In a little over a year, Siren has amassed a social media audience of more than 5000 alongside over 1000 subscribers to the weekly newsletterMy writing work for Siren has included:- A Five Moments in History series that has covered cricket, netball and golf.- An in-depth look at women’s ice hockey in Australia.- A wide-ranging three-part series on the development of women’s Aussie rules football in Queensland.- A range of profiles including Kate Moloney, the captain of the Melbourne Vixens.- A major project for a community sports club that involved documenting their 30-year history. Other achievements include:- Establishing partnerships with ABC Sport, Swinburne University, Deakin University and Football Victoria. - Finalist in the 2020 Sport Australia Awards in the Innovation Category.

As a freelancer I have written essays, op-eds, grant applications, reviews and interviews for a range of publications and produced audio for several different organisations as well as leading my own projects and collaborating with others. - Contributor to The Guardian, Eureka Street, Pen Quarterly Melbourne, Melbourne City of Literature, City of Melbourne Knowledge Week, Tincture Journal, Writers Bloc, SPOOK Magazine, Girls Play Footy.- Producer of Voices from the Stands, a weekly segment for Triple R's Kick Like A Girl AFLW show, which was a finalist in the 2019 CBAA Community Radio Awards. - Producer of Yesterday, A Live Listening Party for the 2019 Emerging Writers Festival.- 'Taking to the Field' included in Balancing Acts: Women in Sport published by Brow Books in 2018. - 'A Voice from The Stands: A Nod from the Footy Gods' included in the 2018 Women's Footy Almanac.

"The First Friday in February is an audio documentary by Kirby Fenwick that tells the story of the first AFLW game, between Collingwood and Carlton in February 2017, though the memories of women who were in the stands. This is a beautifully crafted documentary that tracks the chronology of the event – from the long build up to AFLW, anticipation at the start of the day, travelling to the game amidst throngs of excited fans, then the game – arranged in 4 quarters – and its significance for each narrator, for the game of footy and for women’s equality." Cystic Fibrosis Community Care is a not-for-profit based in Victoria who provide services and support for people living with cystic fibrosis (CF). CFStrong is a Cystic Fibrosis Community Care project designed to educate and empower adults with CF.In this role, I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the CFStrong project including, managing the production of written, audio and video content published on the website.Highlights include:• Produced eight videos featuring adults with CF discussing their lived experience.• Supported and mentored an emerging podcast host enabling them to plan and record episodes independently.• Coordinated final evaluation for project, engaging adults with CF to participate in focus groups.

Independence Australia is a social enterprise who provide services for people living with a disability or other personal need. Inform is an Independence Australia project that provides people with disabilities and their informal supports with up-to-date, relevant, and quality information about a range of topics.In this role, I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Inform project including managing the production of written and audio content published on the website as well as the production of a quarterly print magazine. Highlights include: • Collaborating on a redesign of the project's monthly newsletter.• Establishing a roster of writers with disability to contribute to the project and providing editorial support and guidance. • Migrated the project’s content planning to Airtable.

Co-host, co-producer and social media manager of Literary Canon Ball, a podcast, inspired by the work of the Stella Count, that seeks to address the gender imbalance in the conversations we have around books.

Key Responsibilities:As the sole editorial employee, my role included sourcing, researchingand writing news and human interest stories, conducting interviews and taking photographs. This often necessitated attendance of local events and local council meetings. In addition, I coordinated contributors and preformed subediting duties, including proofreading.
