Internship/ Management Trainee at Beaches Resort, Villages and Spa located at one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands.During the first week on my internship at Beaches, I experienced 2 major hurricanes hitting the Island. This led to guest evacuation and the resort was closed for 2 consecutive months.Whilst evacuating guests, I had the opportunity to observe and be a part of the crisis management team's protocols that were in place to ensure the safety of guests and staff. The re-opening process of the resort gave me extensive insight in protocols and opportunities of how a Hotel/Resort could improve it's facilities during a re-opening. The final phase of my internship was the pre-opening of the expansion of the resort, called the "Italian Village".With 180 new suites, Caribbeans largest swimming pool and numerous dining facilities, I had the opportunity to work along side senior management on corporate level to ensure a smooth opening. My main responsibility during this phase:- Snag the suites alongside the contractors - Insert items and set up the suites according to requirements- Finalize the suites for operations
