I am a co-founder and the CEO of Zenkeeper, an early-stage startup with an iPhone/iPad app that helps people fall asleep faster and more peacefully. Before pivoting the business to Zenkeeper, I was focussed on building a fintech startup that included an automated system for buying and selling stocks on the TSX, and a set of tools for analyzing and valuing stocks listed on the TSX, NYSE, and Nasdaq. As part of my efforts to learn more about the financial services industry, I signed up for (and passed) the Level I CFA exam in July 2021.I took a four month break from working on these early-stage startups to join Mogo as their Director of Product (from Dec 2022 to Mar 2023). During my short tenure at Mogo, I stepped in as the product manager for Mogo's new MogoTrade app for active investing, helping the team take the product from beta to GA. Prior to my foray into entrepreneurship, I worked at Clearly.ca for six years. I started in the warehouse in late 2014, picking and packing glasses and contact lenses for the Operations team. At the beginning of 2015, I transitioned to a Web Analyst role on the Marketing team, and then continued along this path doing analytics in a few different positions both within Marketing and IT. During my last two years at Clearly, I managed the cross-functional Web Experience team, focussed on UX/UI research and design, website operations and A/B testing, digital analytics, and machine learning. Before joining Clearly, I completed a Master’s in Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Bachelor’s in Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, and Accounting at Elmira College. While in college, I also played NCAA ice hockey.
