Member of multi-disciplinary Innovation Team tasked with developing original technologies to assist police Search Practitioners in missing persons searches, particularly in freshwater environments.• Collaborated on the development of a novel simulation cadaver to emulate the movement of missing persons in waterways. Patent application filed for final design (GB1811971.9).• Managed trials comparing established side-scan sonar to novel ground-penetrating radar (GPR) for searches in water. Effectively organised work of academics, search practitioners and representatives from the National Crime Agency in a challenging environment. Produced the first results of GPR in this context, providing evidence of a valuable new tool for missing persons and weapons searches.• Utilised exposure to subject experts to broaden knowledge outside of electronics, including mechanical engineering, ergonomics, forensics, health and safety, data processing, machining, and trials management.
