Working with the Corporate Communications team, I worked to elevate Alberta Innovates - Health Solutions' profile with stakeholders, including researchers, health policy professionals, health service providers, and the public. This included promoting events like the Health Policy Speaker Series and Science in the Cinema or highlighting funded researchers or research projects through mass media. My major accomplishment while at AIHS was launching the new corporate website with an internally-managed content management system. This required managing cross-departmental workgroups, business process design, and working with our external development team on information architecture, visual design, content strategy and staff training.

As a Marketing and Communications officer at the City of Edmonton, I was responsible for developing and executing marketing communications plans that supported revenue and attendance goals, while building the reputation of the City of Edmonton organization. While at the City, I managed the communications for several facilities and projects, including the Muttart Conservatory, municipal golf courses, sports and recreation centres, the John Janzen Nature Centre, summer daycamps and the Edmonton Valley Zoo, including a key role in the development and launch of the new zoo brand.

Responsible for the development and delivery of multi-faceted marketing and communication programs in both the public and private sector, ensuring that projects were executed on time, on budget and on strategy, while advocating for innovative creative concepts. Clients included public service, real estate, land development, industry associations and not-for-profit organizations.

As the initial client contact on major consumer goods accounts, I developed and managed cost estimates, billing, critical paths and deadlines. Majority of projects involved retail packaging for the North American market.
