Working with a team of customer service advisors and applications engineers, talking to customers by telephone, email and face to face to ascertain their requirements for temperature control and diesel engine safety shutdown equipment. Reading engineering drawings of cooling systems to ascertain size and flow requirements. Producing quotations and entering orders on ERP system and following through to completion by use of letter or email using Microsoft Office family, ensuring customers are kept aware of the process. Supervision of returns for warranty and/or repair, including tight integration with the quality department to ensure any problems were properly documented, again using Microsoft Office systems. Leadership of a rapid response and service engineering team, ensuring our customers needs are met by overseeing short lead time build, solving any supply problems with “out of the box” thinking, including performing modifications to stock parts myself in order to exceed customer expectations, and arranging for service engineer visits to ships / power stations etc. when problems that arise cannot be rectified without a site visit. Aided the engineering team create new part masters on the ERP system using available engineering drawing database as reference. Due to the skills I possess I was also seconded onto several special projects, including the development and implementation of a new ERP system and an interactive model code selector to aid the customer service team in choosing the correct valve and simplifying costing.

Liaising with customers both on the telephone and face to face to discuss their vehicular needs, entering customer information and service order details into bespoke system, booking appointments and distributing work to technicians. Ensuring to maintain excellent customer relations.
