Electronics Technician - Field Service
Current- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on computer and simulator/stimulator controlled shipboard engineering control consoles, engineering equipment and training devices- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, interior communication and gas turbine systems equipment including fiber optic data multiplex systems, gyrocompass, vertical short take off and landing optical lighting systems, integrated launch and recovery television surveillance systems, closed circuit television systems, dead reckoning tracers, wind indicating systems, electromagnetic underwater logs, electrical/electronic test equipment, degaussing systems, 150 KW and 24KW motor generators, 400HZ frequency converters and voltage/frequency regulators, ship’s service gas turbine generators and all associated sub-systems- Prepare maintenance schedules, corrective maintenance action forms, daily and monthly reports, perform site inventories and maintain the Navy’s maintenance, material and management system- Develop and provide training on numerous topics including electrical safety, lock-out/tag-out, quality assurance and electronics maintenance principles to nine shop personnel - IPC-A-610E Soldering Certification, January 2012
