For more than 50 years the National Club Association (NCA), a Washington D.C. based trade association, has served as the primary advocate for private clubs representing their interests on Capital Hill in the regulatory agencies in the statehouses and in the court houses. In addition NCA serves as a valuable resource for professional and volunteer club leaders providing resources on regulatory issues, governance best practices, operational issues and ways to strengthen club leadership through its publications and educational programs. This historic club founded in 1897 serves over 1,500 members with 230 employees and reports over $22 million in annual revenues. Facilities include two golf courses (36 +1 holes), four tennis courts, three a la carte dining venues, banquet facilities (400 seated/1,500 reception) and overnight guest suites/apartments. Currently the Club is undergoing for a $25 million renovation of the historic Clubhouse and a $10 million revamp of the South Course with architect Gil Hanse. In 2017 the 46th Walker Cup Matches and the 2023 U. S. Open Championship will be contested on the North Course.
