The Champaign County Farm Bureau Foundation communicates the critical importance of agriculture to our community. We bring knowledge and understanding through our Agriculture in the Classroom program, by providing scholarship to ag leaders, and by fundraising to sustain these initiatives. The Champaign County Agriculture in the Classroom program provides lessons, materials and classroom instruction FREE to local schools and classrooms. Our goal is to keep students Grounded in Agriculture so they become knowledgeable consumers. Each year the Ag in the Classroom program impacts 25,000+ Champaign County students. The CCFB Foundation Scholarship program honors local students completing their education in a food and agricultural field at a College or University of their choice. Since our inception in 1986 the Foundation has supported over 500 Champaign County students with over $1.4 Million in tuition assistance. Working on behalf of a volunteer board of directors, the Executive Director oversee the daily operations of our Foundation. Each day is different as I steward individual donors and corporate partners through the various stages of the donor continuum. My role also includes employee management, financial oversight, public relations, strategic planning,, and other daily tasks.

Developed relationships with volunteer members, community leaders and media outlets to promote agriculture and the policies of the organization. Manage and execute membership and community communications efforts including monthly newsletters, social media, a weekly television program and multiple issue specific communications efforts. Coordinate volunteer committee programs, political affairs and public relations efforts to educate consumers and community members of the agricultural industry.
