Capt Kirk’s sense of humor leads him to have audiences transform and become engaged in the topic at hand.Capt Kirk is a 39-year veteran of EMS and Public Safety, Capt Kirk retired in 2001 from Provo City Police after 22 years. After his career in Law Enforcement, Capt Kirk went to work full time in the Fire/EMS service where he again retired after serving as a Paramedic Captain and EMS Coordinator for Eagle Mountain Fire Department. Capt Kirk teaches all levels of EMT’s and wilderness medicine and is the EMS?Paramedic Program Director for the College of Southern Idaho. Kirk and his wife, Margaret founded Mt Nebo Training in 1991. Together Kirk and Margaret through Mt Nebo Training developed one of the largest EMS private teaching groups in the United States. With over 25,000 students in the past 28 years, including over 500 new Paramedics trained in Utah, they have left a large footprint on EMS both in Utah and Nationally. In his spare time Capt Kirk travels to 3rd World countries as a volunteer teaching EMS to physicians, nurses and EMS personnel.
