PureGym have tens of thousands of active users, so it was critical to deliver new applications that wereperformant and leveraged the best of Azure’s cloud to keep them resilient.• Architected and built the international join ecommerce website using React and .NET and deployedinto Kubernetes. The website was deployed globally and fully-localised.• Integrated with 3rd party APIs such as Trustpilot, Google Analytics and an internal CMS usingUmbraco.• Implemented CI/CD using Azure pipelines.• Replaced static testing environments with “on demand” environments using Terraform to automatefeature branches.• Reworked Specflow testing to use xUnit to reduce minutes of testing into seconds.• Developed an automated testing suite using both Cypress & Playwright which supported the multipleuser journeys through the application.• Reduced Azure costs by 90+ percent by leveraging containers/Kubernetes.

As head of development, shaped the architecture & technology choices; understanding the problem domainsand crafting scalable, efficient systems in Azure to support them.• Developed a React-based Workflow tool to visualise business processes.• Created a React “online account” for energy suppliers that leveraged Azure Web apps and CosmosDBfor serious scale.• A cloud-based .NET Core API to integrate with the UK government’s rollout for smart meters. Thisrequired strong knowledge of ECDSA and ECDH and was implemented using Docker and deployed intoAzure.• Implemented an Octopus deployment server to allow smoother, automatic deployments for 40+projects to their 15+ environments.

Delivered critical backend API pieces for 4Com’s flagship product – the “HiHi” desktop phone – to supportcommunication with a PBX and call recording.• Delivery of new features into Dynamics CRM using C#.• Created .NET Core APIs to broker communication layer between a mobile app and 3rd party APIsusing SIP protocol, this was deployed into Azure.• Developed call recording application which used low level networking and published audio into Azureblob storage for further processing and access.

Worked within an Agile team to integrate Dynamics CRM into their business functions.• Developed against Microsoft Dynamics CRM using C# and JavaScript.• Planned and implemented a large migration of CRM version, working through breaking changes andimplementing new features.• Worked as Scrum master to engage with business requirements and prioritise into development tasks.
