Sr. Software Engineer contracted through Kolter Solutions to the Digital Forensics and Exploitation Technologies (DFET) division of the KeyW Corporation (acquired by Jacobs, 2019.) Primary responsibilities include software design and development of new features and maintenance for the STRIKE ™ digital forensics media exploitation platform used to rapidly extract data and analyze information from captured digital devices and media in a forensically sound manner.The STRIKE system target platforms are portable Linux (Debian-based) systems. The software developed utilized a heterogeneous collection of various programming languages primarily composed of C++, C, Python, Java, Javascript, and bash shell scripting. The user interface (UI) components which I developed were in Qt (using both C++ and Python bindings), GTK+, as well as embedded HTML (via Javascript.) The inter-process communication was conducted utilizing SQL databases, sockets and pipes.Highlights of my contributions to this project include a scalable multi-threaded image analysis module which provides assessment of image content for threat classification and reporting. I also developed the underlying library providing a highly efficient object-oriented Thread Pool management library which heavily utilized C++ 11 futures and move semantics. The intention is that this library will provide a migration path for existing legacy single-threaded components within the more efficient multi-core environments.Additional front-end development included the integration of a Facial Identification feature which presents the user with clusters of images determined to contain the same individual(s). I also developed various modules generating PDF-based reports and data export of the triaged analysis results.On the back-end of the architecture I developed API Endpoints that interfaced primarily via PostgreSQL to encapsulate data queries and storage (with SQLite for a related Windows extension tool.)

Responsible for the development of server-side software for a commercial automated terminal management system (TMS6).Conducted software analysis and design of new product feature enhancements, modules, optimization, and debugging of customer reported issues. The server-side software was hosted on the Linux RHEL5 platform, developed using GNU C++, bash scripting, and interfaced with a MySQL back end database. Development was conducting utilizing VirtualBox VMs, the Eclipse IDE, and the vim editor. Other tools used include Valgrind, cppcheck, Perforce version control, Confluence collaboration software, and NetSuite.

Sr. Software Engineer contract position with LiveTV (Melbourne, FL) within the Ka-band Software Development group providing in-flight broadband connectivity solutions.Designed and implemented a Python-based ‘Package Management’ daemon in support of multimedia distribution and streaming to portal clients and passenger mobile devices, DRM license management, and system software deployment. Campaigned content was defined via hierarchically defined XML catalogs which were parsed in order to facilitate (HTTP/FTP) data transfer from ground-based sources to aircraft-based CentOS Linux servers. This effort utilized a multi-threaded Finite State Machine (FSM) / Reactive framework architecture and the Data Distribution Service (DDS) for inter-process communications.Deployed an embedded HTTP/S web server (KLone) and developed and incorporated C++ server-side modules to support secure file transfers and content delivery.
