As the Director, ECT and Corporate Strategic Planning, I was responsible for advancing and leading all aspects of major event, convention, tradeshow sector attraction, growth and investment activities as well as for contributing to EDR's overall sector strategy. Events, conventions and tradeshows generate significant annual economic impact in the Regina region and is one of the core sectors that EDR had identified as a key growth opportunity. The success of the ECT strategy hinged on the collaboration of various private, public and non-profit groups and I was responsible for bringing all of the necessary resources together.

I worked as a Business Analyst, and then as a Consultant, with the Conroy Ross Partners (acquired by Optimum Talent) consulting practice. At the time, our consulting practice specialized in strategy & business planning, leadership, business optimization, talent management and post-merger integration. Based in the firm's Regina office, I contributed to the consulting practice in a number of ways:- Planned projects to meet client objectives;- Conducted research and analysis;- Developed high-quality, well-crafted project deliverables;- Aided in the development and maintenance of a collaborative team work environment;- Supported the development of intellectual property, methods and tools; and,- Identified and participated in activities aimed at building the firm's consulting practice.
