POSITION OVERVIEWWith respect to wind, solar and grid storage facilities, I was responsible for various documentation, technical, design and project management tasks for AECOM's generation team, including but not limited to:Technical• Leading, development of, reviewing and commenting on wind and solar farm, BESS, and hybrid EPC and split contract specifications for greenfields and brownfields projects.• Integration of contract specifications with contract schedules, such as performance guarantees, grid connection and payment milestones.• Support with contract negotiations for the points above.• Ensuring execution of, and/or providing input into, SID via various workshops such as HAZIDs, HAZOPs, CHAZOPs, HAZCONs and the CHAIR 1-3 process.• As OE and from pre-FC to DLP, leading reviews, providing ad hoc support and advising owners of green and brownfield sites on contractor compliance with the contract specification, inclusive of document deliverables, various aspects development consent/approval, performance testing and handover for WTGs, met masts, PCV, SCADA, BOP – electrical, civil, structural, grid, and logistics requirements• Resolution of technical and interface issues by coordinating subject matter experts both internally and externally.• Managing and/or providing input into concept and detailed design through to IFC with teams across borders and for brownfields sites.• Reviewing the activities above if undertaken by others.Management and Commercial• Project managing various roles including, OE, technical specification writing, secondary consents, grid connection and early contractor involvement.• Managing the PMBOK knowledge areas for my PM roles.• Assessing RFIs, variations and payment/milestone/completion claims, and reviewing project programs.• Building strong relationships with owners, contractors, NSPs and internal SMEs to ensure the design and interfacing between different systems is seamless.• Writing proposals for new projects.
