Hi I'm Kirsta, a musician originally from Stirlingshire, Scotland, currently living in St. Albans.I've been a music lover all my life, so much so that I decided to begin my initial training as a Teacher of Music at Aberdeen College in Scotland. Wanting to explore an alternative path, I went on to complete a Postgraduate course in Acting and Musical Theatre at Mountview Drama School in London. Through my Creative Music Technology Course and my extensive vocal training, I have been able to consolidate my skills and work as a teacher at many different levels.After qualifying, I decided to work as an Actor/Musician for various theatre companies around the UK. I was also Head of Music in a local school.17 years ago, I decided that I wanted to work with individuals that have a natural passion for music. That's when I started my own business based in St. Albans. I love helping to develop musical skills, whether working toward music exams and auditions or simply for fun. I now teach singing, flute and piano on a one-to-one basis. I always create a good rapport with my pupils, which helps them produce their best. My passion for music and commitment to the subject helps to enrich my pupils’ lives.Together, we have achieved amazing results, especially as my pupils have continued to excel with Merits and Distinctions. As I am confident in assessing the quality of their performance it has inspired them to work to a higher level of award than they might otherwise have achieved. This has also contributed to their further studies, their confidence and self-belief.If vocal coaching is your dream, my speciality covers all genres of music including Popular/Rock, Jazz and Musical Theatre and my extensive training in singing has incorporated many of these genres. I also work as a performing musician which enables me to share my own experiences with my pupils and to develop ways they can effectively communicate to an audience.
