Designed and implemented global operations for the signature program at one of the countries leading philanthropic foundations. Led working group to re-design operations in support of organizational transition and restructuring. Created budgets that aligned resources with priorities and clarified trade-offs and built a system to monitor spending. Instituted a management structure that improved timeliness and quality of project delivery for the organization’s Salesforce system. Coached junior staff to develop a Salesforce system that better aligned with program operations and data needs.

Led customer service improvement projects using newer technology to drive changes to business processes and create a consistent customer experience. Designed testing strategy and governance structures to support transitions from legacy systems to new technology.

Played an integral and founding role in a start up unit within the NYC Department of Finance that was charged with consolidating, modernizing, and managing all New York City agency payment services. Key leader in the delivery of one of the agency’s flagship IT modernization projects through the implementation of electronic payment services for 20 agencies. Transformed city accounting policies and procedures through institutionalization of a new bank account structure and standardized payment policy across city agencies. Managed and re-organized the Department of Finance’s 8-person bank account reconciliation team to increase capacity and cross-train staff.

Managed the first quadrennial update of New York City’s sustainability plan under tight deadlines with limited staff and budget resources. Set metrics for identifying progress targets and developed methodology for monitoring progress on plan initiatives that served as foundation for more complex tracking systems now used by the Mayor’s Office to mange long-term strategic initiatives.

Served as policy and project lead for several initiatives to enhance the agency’s ability to regulate the for-hire vehicle industry, including improving licensee education and overhauling the agency’s over 2,000 rules to make them more consistent and easier to understand.
