As an organizer of TEDxSantaCruz I was part of the team that brings TED and TEDx stand-alone events to Santa Cruz County. As a founding team member, I worked with our team of volunteers to brainstorm, plan, and put on two large TEDxSantaCruz events, plus a half-dozen smaller events. My responsibilities as TEDxSantaCruz marketing director and project director included everything from creating the website and advertising, to managing the volunteer teams, to creating and managing the annual budget and finances. Through partnering with this powerful team and working with our exceptional speakers I met some incredible people and enjoyed the the excitement of being part of these thought-provoking events.

As an art director at CKS Partners, I created brochures, catalogs, corporate identity, direct response, packaging, print advertising, and interactive media for Apple Computer, IBM, and other clients. I supervised designers and production artists and worked directly with clients. Selected, hired, and supervised outside vendors including photographers and printers.

I designed and implemented computational software and interfaces for risk management programs for an environmental consulting firm. I developed file management facilities, full-screen editors, multiple-case analysis capabilities, and flexible report generators.
