Vice President Of Special Events, Co-Chair Art Of Marketing Conference, And Member At LargeAma San Diego Jan 2022 - Jun 2024San Diego, Ca, UsIn January 2022, following the pandemic, my colleague and I proposed to the AMA San Diego Board the reinstatement of the Art of Marketing Conference, an event I co-founded in 2011. The pandemic had severely impacted many non-profits, including ours, resulting in a significantly depleted budget. The Board approved our proposal, and we took on the roles of Co-Chairs for the 2022 conference.Despite having no initial funding, we successfully hosted the conference through the generous support of dedicated volunteers, in-kind sponsors, and cash donors. The event attracted around 300 marketing professionals and helped restore some financial stability to the AMA San Diego.From January to October 2022, I served as Co-Chair of the Art of Marketing Conference. I was VP of Special Events from June 2022 to July 2024, and briefly served as Member at Large. During this period, I spearheaded the revival of the AMA San Diego awards program, Sandie Awards, which had been inactive for years, and led the development of the 2023 Art of Marketing Conference.Thanks to the continued efforts of volunteers and the support of in-kind and cash sponsors, both the 2023 Sandie Awards and the Art of Marketing Conference were highly successful and profitable. This financial boost has enabled the organization to sustain and enhance its educational and networking events, which are greatly valued by the San Diego marketing community.During my time on the Board, I also headed up new initiatives, including the revision of our Constitution and Bylaws,Other positions held on the Board of AMA San Diego (including President) and AMA New Orleans are described in the Volunteer section of my LinkedIn page. -
