I teach and develop pre-service teachers in their literacy instruction skills. In my course, we learn and interrogate various methods and notions of literacy instruction. We question what it means to be literate and who decides. Teachers exit the course with a toolbox of strategies for teaching as well as an ever evolving critical lens to examine both their beliefs and their practice.
