• Reports to the Program Manager.• Complete aerial, topographic, rail and water crossing surveys for third-party companies on a variety of projects throughout Ontario.• Supervised daily by field operation coordinator.• Conducts field surveys through a variety of mediums including but not limited to:• Aerial Surveys• GPS/Topographical Surveys o Review of Third-party permits Gathering field survey information on above and below grade infrastructure for a variety of clients, utilizing methodology and processes.• Preparation and translation of field work to supply finished project to the project coordinator/project manager/engineering department.• Ongoing development of company’s survey processes and methodologies to further develop operational efficiencies.

• Collects aerial and underground field data for pole line. engineering data.• Performs site surveys to collect, analyze and organize basic engineering data to develop design layouts and prepare all engineering documentation required for a complete functional design.• Prepares layouts and detail drawings with complex assemblies from notes, verbal instructions and rough or detailed sketches.• Liaison with internal and external customers, developers, municipal officials and other approving authorities to remove roadblocks and obtain the necessary approvals of the design drawings.• Prepare accurate documentation to track time, expenses and events for billing purpose.• Adheres to all health and safety guidelines• Any and all other duties as assigned in order to meet Company objectives.

Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and documents of various types and prepare drawings required by Civil Site Engineer for the projects.Prepare material lists and purchase orders for the projects.Review plans, surveys, etc. prepared by other engineers for conformance with Civil Site Engineer's plans before submission.Supervise, inspect, review or approve construction work done by others to ensure conformance with Civil Site Engineer's standards of quality workmanship and performance.Conduct tests to ensure the quality of materials used.Estimated quantities and the cost of materials, equipment or labour to determine project feasibility. Prepare technical reports regarding various structures, machinery, devices or processes.Managed and directed construction, operations or maintenance activities at project site.
