Honestly, where hasn't my career taken me. Yesterday, Human Resources Professional. Today, Wellness Coach. Why the change? There is absolutely no way I can stop working to help people. So this falls right in line with my passion for helping people and encouraging wellness. I'm a firm believer that the whole mind-body connection is REAL. As we mature, many of us stop doing the activities we enjoy due to life's responsibilities and for a ton of other reasons that only we hold as valid. Who says we have to stop? Who says we can't re-prioritize and put the one person first that genuinely matters: YOU!Through Wellness Coaching, we get to personally evaluate what the National Wellness Institute calls the Six Dimensions of Wellness (nationawellness.org): Emotional, Occupational, Physical, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Social. Wellness requires an active and continuous effort of improvement to live your truth-your best life. That begins with assessing multiple areas of your life: physical and mental health, relationships, mindfulness, confidence, self-control, goal setting, cultural competency, and my personal favorite, determining how to add new levels of physical activity. Trust that I'm pretty aware that you may not need assistance in all of these areas, but you may, and that's okay. We aren't perfect, and of course, everyone needs a little support sometimes. As your Wellness Coach, I provide that support, along with motivation, encouragement, an empathetic ear, tools, and other resources to get you started on a new journey!
