I joined Everwarm in January 2015.Further to the listing of the parent company, the requirement and need for accurate, timely and transparent reporting became very prominent and urgent. I was brought in mainly to ensure that a process was under laid to achieve this.In the role of Financial Planning and Analysis Manager I under laid the process for the below:a) Generation and production of information relating to debtors ageing, WIP ageing and other financial reports necessary for reporting to group finance; andb) Production of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow as part of month-end review process;c) Monthly KPI's, Orderbook, Pipeline reports.My continuing priority, however, remains production of quarterly reforecasts and the annual budget. This involves very closely engaging with the various heads of departments (operational, commercial and HR) to produce the budget and forecast numbers. I own the entire process and culminates with presenting the numbers to the board and thereafter securing their approval. The numbers are subject to various challenges from the Board and involves further interrogation and clarifying queries raised by the Board.I have also set a process in place with regards to production and review of contract profitability. The new process sets the ways and means of extracting information from finance, commercial and operational sources and producing contract profitability information on a monthly basis. This is taken up for monthly review by the local managing director and has provided plenty of opportunities to arrest revenue leakage and led to several cost control measures.Other responsibilities include:Reviewing JV accounting of results of JV entities, IFRS 15 impact assessment study, WIP and Cash conversion and drafting investment proposals and creating financial models to aid decision making.

I joined the commercial finance team in June 2013. My principal focus was on reviewing ITT/PQQ and contract documents and identify any commercial risks prior to sign-off or submission.Further work involved creating financial model that could aid in reviewing the accuracy of maintenance revenue stream and creating job costing working models.Liaising with the operational finance teams during the month-end to supply them with critical numbers to aid and assist finalization of month-end financial numbers.

I joined Carillion as a Finance Manager in 2008 and worked at their office and warehouse facility based in Livingston, Scotland.I was part of the local senior management team. My role mainly involved ensuring that the monthly results are reported in an accurate manner and in accordance with the group deadlines. Working capital management was very high on the agenda and my focus and attention was greatly devoted towards achieving the cash targets on a bi-monthly basis and to ensure the business achieved an optimal working capital position. I was responsible for delivering the quarterly re-forecasts and the annual budgets. This involved a high degree of engagement with senior leaders in the business to understand the operational variables and translate these into financial numbers and other meaningful data. I was also responsible for statutory compliance with regard to PAYE, CIS, VAT. Responding to external auditors, internal auditors, and group tax queries. I was also a financial member in the Carillion Peer Review team.

My responsibilities comprised preparation of monthly management accounts, working capital management, liaising with bank and other lending institutions, tender responses/commercial pricing for bids, company secretarial work, liaising with external auditors and statutory compliance (VAT, HMRC, Payroll returns, tax).I was involved in implementing certain changes in the financial control environment and also bringing about transparency in reporting of management information and KPIs.Completed a due diligence for purchase of a company in Harrogate and in Norway and was involved in negotiations to complete the successful acquisition of the two companies.
