Krishna Kishor, MD, is an associate professor of ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens. Dr. Kishor completed his undergraduate education at Virginia Commonwealth University(VCU): where he attained a Bachelor of Science. He completed his medical school education at VCU and residency training in ophthalmology at VCU. Followed by a fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in glaucoma. Dr. Kishor has international experience having completed an honorary fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England. Dr. Kishor was a member of the visiting faculty at Arasan Eye Hospital in India. Dr, Kishor has been elected President of the Florida Society of Ophthalmology(FSO) which represents more than 500 physician members in Florida. The society provides continuing medical education for ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to advance patient care in ophthalmology. Dr. Kishor is currently the Florida Glaucoma Society of Ophthalmology president-elect. In 2011, Dr. Kishor, through the Florida Society of Ophthalmology was awarded The Michael R. Redmond, MD Outstanding Young Ophthalmologist Award. Dr. Kishor's professional associations include American Academy of Ophthalmology where he was nominated and completed the Leadership Development Program in 2014 which helps identify and develop future leaders of the state, subspecialty and specialized interest societies in ophthalmology. Dr. Kishor s a member of the Palm Beach County Medical Society. He was also nominated and completed the Palm Beach County Medical Society Physician Leadership Academy in 2017 which helps physicians who want to improve health care delivery for their patients and communities while also building their leadership skills. Dr. Kishor’s research interest include analyzing surgical outcomes via “big data” to optimize treatment for patients. Dr. Kishor actively pursues international travel to provide eye care for needy individuals.
