Being a part of the management team at Tessuti allowed me to develop my team-leading skills, including communication and delegation. I found that I thrive on the responsibility aspect of this role.I was able to transfer my background knowledge in luxury fashion from my degree, and personal interest in sustainability, into my customer service and selling skills that were already established from previous roles in retail.This role gave me the opportunity to work as a key holder and sole manager on-site in a variety of different stores. From this experience, I determined that I am drawn to management roles as the additional responsibility acts as a huge motivational aspect for me. Additional skills I learned from this role were the creation of rotas considering the needs and wants of my team to ensure a positive and united workforce, banking, and office admin, and keyholder and stock control duties, which included managing CCTV and security systems and alarms.
