I work with individuals, couples, families, and children at a private practice in Reston, VA. I focus on helping clients use their strengths to make the changes that will make a difference in their lives. Because healing often arises from strengthening the relationships we have with loved ones, I also concentrate on helping families and couples build stronger connections. I have specialized training in emotionally focused therapy and I earned my master's degree from the highly regarded marriage and family therapy program at Virginia Tech, where I treated clients with a range of challenges at the university’s Center for Family Services. I also helped individuals recovering from substance abuse as a family therapist intern at Phoenix House. I bring a mature perspective to my work, having spent more than a decade in public relations before beginning my career in therapy.
