The survey looked at all the climate initiatives currently adopted and planned for the near future by adventure travel businesses.The project was supposed to be a one-off internship project, but it ended up being sponsored by Intrepid Travel. Its findings were presented at the New York Times Travel trade show, and the main research points were published in several travel industry publications and Forbes.The research and report are now conducted annually. I am humbled to see a project I was a part of gain this much momentum and have this much impact in this industry. Travel is an opportunity for people to open up to change and new conversations. By tracking this data, it was our hope that we can make positive steps towards climate action in this industry and with travelers.(This was also supposed to be an unpaid internship, but I ended up getting $$$$ for this project.
