Kit is deeply passionate about social and environmental justice. She believes we must regenerate the human spirit and the environment simultaneously. With over 20 years of experience in the social and community health sectors,Kit has dedicated her career to supporting individuals in achieving their best life. As a registered social worker, clinical supervisor, and founder of Nature Based Therapy, Kit is passionate about harnessing the power of nature to improve wellbeing. Kit's extensive qualifications include a Master's in Social Work, Master's in Indigenous Studies, BA in Aboriginal Studies, and diplomas in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Welfare Studies, and Holistic Healing. She is also a Reiki Master, CI (Compassionate Inquiry) Certified Practitioner, and has a Certificate IV in Youth Work and Training, and Assessment.As a facilitator, Kit creates a safe and compassionate space for sharing knowledge and narratives. Her mixed heritage, including German, Wampanoag, Irish, and Scottish backgrounds, informs her approach to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds.When not facilitating workshops or training programs, Kit enjoys spending time with her family, including her three daughters and son, and pursuing her love of road trips, picnics, and football. She is also committed to creating opportunities for health promotion through her charity, Nature Based Therapy Foundation's nature based social prescribing programs.
