About Kit Valentin

I specialize in creating alternative methods of interaction for XR. I also greatly enjoy making games when I have time for it. You'll most likely find me either creating tools for Unity("XR Hand Pose Toolkit" coming to the asset store within the next few weeks), making games, or simply playing them.My recent projects involve:• Developing a hand gesture dataset consisting of all alphanumericals in Danish Sign Language, or DSL, as well as developing, training, and applying machine learning models to classify which gesture is being performed by the user in situ.• Developing hand-tracking and controller-based in-situ animation authoring frameworks using Beziér curves• Using eye-tracking through Virtual Reality platforms to create subliminal cues that retain established gains in search task performance.• Comparing different UI layouts and interactions in Virtual Reality for their relative effectiveness in applied contexts.• Creating temporally-sensitive gesture detection frameworks using a live camera feed of the hands of users, enabling multiple layers of control schemes for remotely controlling TVs, while minimizing the possibility of false-positive detections created by visual background noise.
