Branch Chief, Applications, Reporting And Development
CurrentShaping the IT strategic direction, vision, goals, and objectives for the mission applications branch, I report directly to the Division Chief for IRM, NOC Director, and Washington Headquarters office counterparts. In this capacity, I establish and sustain coalitions with internal BLM state and field offices and other department agencies. I also cultivate relationships with vendors, contractors, DOI counterparts, and public customers to drive performance excellence. Fostering innovation, creativity, and teamwork, I promote staff morale to attain established bureau goals. KEY CONTRIBUTIONS:☑ Create and deliver IT operational requirements for mobile telecommunications including geospatial/GIS applications and tools (hardware and software), one-off purchasing, mission applications design and User support, and support across multiple platforms ☑ Spearhead a team of 50 employees including 3 supervisors, retaining 98% of the team YOY☑ Execute technical refresh purchasing and support, including short- and long-term projects☑ Administer plans for a MM$ budgets and processes as division budget manager for all IRM groups☑ Oversee user support and all reporting for applications including LR2000, MLRS, LRAM, CBS, and Remedy, providing guidance and technical support to internal and external users across the BLM☑ Curate strategies including reviewing and scrutinizing IT budgets to yield MM$ in cost savings ☑ Navigate ever-shifting change including a recent reorganization, partnering with the budget officer and IRM deputy to accomplish key metrics from an IT perspective ☑ Regulate MM$ in expenses for hardware/software maintenance agreements (HSMAs)☑ Lead monthly IT calls with 13 state directors, associate directors, and budget staff, identifying processes and ensuring the review, planning, and timely execution of all IT operations and projects☑ Act as senior technical advisor for development, execution, and management of the IT service delivery plan for all projects
