Kit Ong is an independent filmmaker, an award-winning advertising creative, and a writer of children's stories. Kit Ong made Malaysia’s very first silent feature film called The Flowers Beneath My Skin. His recent short and feature films have been awarded official selection at international film festivals.He has also conceptualized and directed music videos in collaboration with Malaysia's indie artists.His advertising works have resonated culturally in Malaysia, Vietnam and China. His portfolio has been recognized at all the major international, regional and local advertising award shows in almost every category there is. Ong has worked on Guinness, Budweiser, Jaguar, Land Rover, Toyota, Lee Jeans, The North Face, Citibank, HSBC, Colgate Palmolive, Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Vitaminwater, Red Bull, Fonterra, Dulux and many other brands over a diversity of categories.Ong has served as jury at Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, AdStars, Cresta and other notable shows.Kit Ong is the creator of UBXED [unboxed]. A social impact platform that uses creativity to address topical issues that affect the welfare of children.He is also the creator & showrunner of a social commentary film collective called The Kollective Lab.
