Electrical Engineering support for two piece beverage can manufacturing plants and equipment manufacturing.

Responsibilities included Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering and Application Engineering departments.• Worked on Wonderware GUI design for Ethylene oxide sterilizers. This design interfaced with a local SQL database and Allen-Bradley Compact Logix PLC’s via Ethernet network. Local SQL Enterprise Edition 2008 databases were migrated to SQL Express 2012 to eliminate licensing costs. Plant SQL Server updated and configured to alert key personnel of issues via email and text messages. The Wonderware GUI (Graphical User Interface) was part of a HMI (Human Machine Interface) for Ethylene-Oxide sterilizers used in the medical sterilization industry. Variables are stored in SQL 2012 for reports written and served up by the SQL report server. User interactions in the system are recorded and stored in accordance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

• Leveraged existing customer relationships, developed over 17 years with Hurletron, to succeed in selling/developing new equipment required by new and existing customers.

Responsible for research and development department. Principal engineering focus involves product management and active participation in the R&D of new products, support of existing products, quality control, system documentation, and development of personnel. Other major responsibilities include coordinating with marketing, sales, and customers to create detailed design specifications for products.

Served as the engineering contact for manufacturing, purchasing, service, and sales. Duties included coordinating domestic and foreign installations, specifying product enhancements, making programming changes to achieve product enhancements, and troubleshooting complex systems. Troubleshooting this equipment required use of Logic Analyzers, Chart Recorders, DVM’s (Digital Voltage Meters), Oscilloscopes, and various other devices as needed for verifying equipment operation.

Focused on decreasing failures and lead-time of new and repaired equipment. Duties included creation of testing procedures to insure products operated as designed, final test of equipment before shipment and review of final installation to insure all customer requirements were met by the design.
