Kitson is a seasoned leader with a diverse background spanning both the non-profit and corporate sectors. As the Executive Director of IJ Homes and Children’s Centres, he brings strategic insight and a passion for driving the organisation’s mission. Before this, he led the Centre for Non-Profit Leadership (CNPL) at the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), where he played a key role in developing leadership capabilities and enhancing the charity/non-profit sector’s impact and effectiveness.Beyond his executive responsibilities, Kitson serves as an advisor to the Board of Kowabunga Global Pte Ltd (recipient of the President's Challenge Social Enterprise Award 2021) and DesignThinkers Asia. He also serves on the boards of IPC-charities such as Suncare SG, Silver Ribbon Singapore, and GEN Singapore.Kitson’s dedication to community service is reflected in his grassroots volunteering and his role as a District Councillor. He is also a Professional Member of the Singapore Institute of Directors, where he previously chaired the Non-Profit Network.His influence extends beyond Singapore, with key contributions to the international quality management community. Kitson served as Secretary-General and Board Member of the Asian Network for Quality (2013-2020), Coordinating Secretary of the World Alliance for Quality (2013-2014), and a long-serving Board Member of the Singapore Quality Institute (2004-2019) and SQI International (2016-2020).Recognised for his engaging presentations and workshops on leadership, culture, innovation, and customer experience, Kitson is a sought-after speaker and facilitator. His extensive experience across both public and private sectors provides him with a nuanced understanding of complex organisational challenges.Kitson holds a Master of Science in Quality Management from the University of Stirling and has completed Executive Education in Leadership for Global Business and Politics at the Yale School of Management.
