I am an Artist & Lecturer, who works primarily in Fashion, Textiles & Portraiture, producing large scale illustrations and paintings heavily saturated in colour, pattern and print, and with a narrative surrounding the role and presence of 'The Hitchcock Heroine'. I am currently moving my art practice into the world of Fashion accessories, particularly silk scarves, whilst planning to do a practice based PhD in my discipline I originally graduated from art school in Canada,with a thesis in photography, primarily focussing my practice on identity, gender and fashion. This led me onto further studies, such as an MA in Fine Arts to explore further the realm of fashion photography and its role in fine art photography. I then enrolled at Liverpool John Moores University into an MPhil/PhD programme in research. My practice title being, 'An Investigation of Fashion Photography from 1960 to 1969; The aesthetic of narrative in the cinematic'. After 3 years of studying, finances fell by the wayside and my heart belonged to illustration. So my academics have since been shelved. The silver lining is that I now have made the transition into the world of fashion illustration, and the knowledge I have gained in my previous photographic practice has been invaluable to my approach and style of my work
