When I was in 6th grade, someone asked me what the biggest problem in the world was and how I would fix it. Without missing a beat, I said, "communication." Even at that young age, I envisioned a world where clear and empathetic communication could eliminate poverty, end hunger, and foster global peace. This belief has been the driving force behind my life's work. That simple question sparked a lifelong passion for improving communication in all its forms. My journey took me to a bachelor's in Communications and Journalism, followed by a master's in Secondary Education, with a focus on Language and Literacy. I was convinced that equipping the next generation with powerful communication tools was key to a brighter future. During my graduate studies, I delved into experiential education and place-based learning, which led me to manage a small organic farm on the West Coast. This role not only provided hands-on leadership and sustainability experience but also reinforced the importance of practical communication in achieving real-world results.Returning to the classroom, I dedicated five years to teaching, where I honed my skills in communication, curriculum development, and innovative problem-solving. My passion for communication extended beyond teaching; I volunteered as a project manager for a non-profit art community, where I organized and inspired individuals to unlock their potential through creative expression. Now, I am ready to take my mission to the next level. I am seeking opportunities to leverage my diverse skills and continue my professional growth in a dynamic new environment. I believe that with the right communication strategies, we can solve some of the world's most pressing issues. I am eager to bring my expertise in communication, curriculum development, and project management to a new role where I can continue to make a meaningful impact. Let's work together to change the world, one conversation at a time.
