In this role I am the point of contact for all new starters to the company, overseeing and completing all administrative actions across Google Sheets for each person and working alongside a 3rd party organisation on a daily basis. I coordinate and oversee a 3-day, in-person induction twice monthly, accommodating 15 speakers, between 5 to 20 New Starters as well as Performance Managers. I have undertaken soft skills courses in communication and workload management, helping me develop relationships with points of contact throughout the organisation, in order to bring together a personal and thorough induction. I have also created aspects of and improved the current onboarding processes in place. I am responsible for producing visually engaging and informative communications, advertising the benefits and events presented to the company throughout the office.

The role was fast paced due to it being a new store opening, when I started and I had to assist in resolving many teething issues which appeared in the first few weeks. I was involved with scheduling, stock intake and quality control. I was also tasked with training new staff members and when left without management was commended by the Area Manager on the success of the store.

I worked part-time through sixth form and then throughout university holidays and the COVID-19 lockdowns. Towards the end of 2020 I was asked by management to apply for the role of Team Leader, however due to restrictions lifting returned to university. I trained in various departments in order to fit whatever role was required but I primarily worked on the tills scheduling and supervising the distribution of staff on the shop floor to ensure operations ran smoothly. At the same time I would manage the phone, covering customer enquiries. I was also tasked with opening and closing the tills and covering paperwork in the cash office.
