Opened and managed the New York City Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, the oldest organization of its kind to support communities affected by ovarian cancer. As the first staff person in the organization's 25-year history to start a Chapter from the ground up, implemented and managed a wide range of activities and programs. Responsibilities included program planning, community outreach, volunteer recruitment and management, event management and fundraising, acting as liaison with area hospitals and other nonprofit organizations, and marketing and promotion. Implemented all aspects of the NOCC's signature event, the Run/Walk To Break The Silence on Ovarian Cancer, including team recruitment, corporate and hospital partnerships, and event logistics. Also initiated NOCC's participation as a New York City Marathon Charity Partner and recruited and managed "Team Teal" runners.

Directed all activities for Women At Risk (WAR), a program based at Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital whose mission is to enhance the lives of women at high risk for, or with, breast cancer through research, education and support. Led major expansion of the organization during my 18 year tenure. Overall responsibility for development and management of a wide range of research, education and support programs, hiring and training of staff, financial and administrative oversight, acting as liaison with WAR's board, and all fundraising initiatives.Developed and successfully implemented a wide range of programs and events, seeing them through from the initial concept to completion. These included a variety of research, education and support programs for women affected by breast cancer including patient navigation and other support services, community outreach, and high-risk and research related initiatives. Managed and facilitated numerous special events including Women At Risk’s Annual Luncheon (featuring speakers such as Hillary Clinton, Anna Quindlen, and Hoda Kotb), nonprofit galas and cultivation events, and educational conferences.
