I have been an entrepreneur for over forty years. I actually have had so many irons in the fire I thought I might have to learn to juggle. My husband and I are both artists, owning our own stained glass store for twenty five years. Also, during that same interval I owned a papering and painting contracting company. We moved to the Ozarks in 1992 and I was finally able to put my musical training to good use. I opened my own show and performed successfully there for twelve years, closing in 2004. During the time as a Branson entertainer, I recorded three albums, was featured on two network television talk shows and one of my albums made it to number eight on the European country music charts. I wrote many of the songs on that album including a 'feel good' song called, 'It Ain't Over Till The Fat Lady Sings', about liking yourself no matter what size you are. I am retired from those pursuits and am now fully engrossed in research and writing of historical fiction in the Native American genre, since I am part Osage, and doing my own artwork for my covers. I am now published by Little Buffalo Arts Publishing and hope to make a success of this as well. I recently received notice that my first five books in my Native American historical fiction series Mysteries from the Trail of tears has been accepted by the U.S. National Park Services for inclusion into their central catalog which all U.S. Parks order from. I was genuinely surprised and pleased. The research for each book takes more than a year and am happy the series is so recognized.
