Working with the employees and customers at Staples have brought a constructive and time managing aspect into my life I was unconsciously lacking. In the Copy & Print Center, I help the customers with their specific copy and print orders. Orders through email, walk-ins, or our website online are all ways we must keep track of and organize the customers' orders to have them done in order and on time. When I'm not copying, laminating, binding books, etc., I help customers find office supplies on the shelves or through our website, facing the shelves, and re-setting the display arrangements.I took this job to become more familiar with printers and the printing process. As a graphic design major, I was more with the computer side of printing, but when it came to computer settings for the printer and how to make copies from it I was lost. After months of working here, I still learn something new every day, whether it's from a customer or something around the Copy Center. I enjoy the high stress environment, responsibility, and time management skills this job has brought me. I hope to keep this job as long as possible before I make my next step in life.

At Five-Star Awards & More I created designs for plaques, trophies, metals, t-shirt prints, mugs, glass, and many other materials. After designing, I would print the project accordingly and begin the steps in making a plaque, trophy, etc. It was a multi-step process, and I got to take part in all parts, but I mostly measured and laid out the design for a specifically creative project. We had multiple orders going at one time. Orders took anywhere from 1-5 business days to complete in house. I learned how perfect measurements are important and what materials are layered, engraved, or pressed and why.

I was a Cashier and Courtesy. I helped customers find the items they needed and checked them out at the cash register. When I was not a cashier, I helped bag and take out the costumers groceries to their car. I sometimes stocked shelves and faced them at the end of the day.
