As a part of the new Neattech strategy of providing IT consulting services, I participated in the launch of a startup — a European neo-bank with cryptocurrency support (Revolut analog) — as a CIOaaS (CIO as a service). The general goal was to bootstrap the launch of the complex product in the shortest possible time and to ensure its future successful development.The project consists of banking and crypto platforms based on microservice architecture and with numerous integrations (BaaS provider, KYC/KYB/AML, Crypto Custody, Crypto Aggregator, for example) and native mobile applications.Accomplishments:— built the entire IT department from scratch; organized hiring and adaptation of about 40 specialists (backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps and QA engineers, system and business analysts, designers, and managers);— designed the architecture of the project, prepared the primary documentation, defined the technology stack and a list of third-party services and contractors;— developed and defended the roadmap and budget of the project;— built the product teams, set up all the processes and Scrum, and ensured the achievement of the project goals and the business expectations.I have fully fulfilled my contractual obligations of project bootstrapping and passed responsibilities to a new in-house CIO.

I managed a production of an international IT company with 50 employees: frontend and backend developers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, QA engineers and designers.The company specializes in web and mobile application development and is focused on providing an agile product approach to scrum teams and successfully meeting business objectives.Accomplishments:— ensured that the division's KPIs were met and that the company's strategic goals were achieved;brought the margin to the target value, optimized costs and guaranteed to hit the budget;— built the production structure: formed departments for each area, set up internal processes, found and trained department managers;— developed and provided for the recruitment and dismissal processes, developed the motivation and grading systems;— adjusted the system people management, ensured regular 1:1 and PDP (personal development plan) for each employee;— organized “careful” resource management, reduced the number of switching between projects to a minimum, created systems of duty and technical support;— set up processes in project teams, achieved their full autonomy and ensured effective implementation of project goals.

Led a large engineering department in a blockchain-focused fintech company.The department has been involved in the development of a Decentralized Crypto Exchanges (DEX), Central Bank Cryptocurrency (CBDC), neobank mobile app with Solarisbank integration, web and mobile crypto wallets, NFT marketplaces, trading bots, various DeFi projects, blockchain oracles, integrations with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Tron, Solana, Polkadot, Zcash, Uniswap, smart contracts development in Solidity.The frontend was developed in TypeScript using React for web applications and React Native for mobile, while the backend was created on a microservice architecture using Node.js and Go.Accomplishments:— tuned up the department's work and core processes, ensured that the department met key indicators on an ongoing basis, reduced overhead and benchmarks to the lowest possible values;— built the structure of the department, raised two deputies and three technical leaders in each of the main areas (React, Node.js and Go), distributing areas of responsibility;— set up a comfortable resource management and project work, including basic development processes, the formation of the role of team leader, code review processes, evaluation, task distribution and control over their timely implementation;— created a regularly updated and updated department knowledge base, development standards, blockchain-specific training system and soft onboarding process in the department's stack;— built processes for hiring/firing, compensation reviews, promotions, and regular 1:1;— organized presale process with handling up to 10 new tickets per day.

As an engineer:— developed client parts of websites and web applications using React, Redux, styled-components, TypeScript, ESLint, Webpack;— performed layout design;— performed prototyping and worked with UI/UX;— in the process, actively interacted with designers and marketers to create a better user experience and achieve their goals.As a team leader:— was responsible for the successful implementation of the project at all stages; managed the project team;— organized effective work of the distributed team;organized maintenance of projects, setting and execution of tasks, as well as time tracking in the projectmanagement system;— organized the team's well-coordinated work on The GitHub Flow, storage of all projects on GitHub and on self-hosted GitLab, automated testing, CI/CD implementation for a number of projects, and work with cloud servers and PaaS platforms;— organized SLA work with projects in maintenance;— conducted code reviews of other frontend developers;— transitioned the team to the use of modern tools and technologies.

While working as a freelancer, the number and complexity of projects increased, which eventually led me to found my own IT company.As the CEO of my own IT company, I had the opportunity to build a company from scratch and lead it to profitability. During my time as CEO, I grew the company from a team of one to a team of twenty highly skilled professionals.I established and nurtured strong relationships with clients and partners, which led to a steady increase in the volume of work. I am proud to say that I was able to achieve profitability for the company, and I implemented efficient document management and accounting systems to support the company's growth.I also focused on hiring and talent development, building a strong team that was able to deliver multiple projects simultaneously. I established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for projects under maintenance, ensuring that we were providing the highest quality of support to our clients.I oversaw project management, task assignment, and time tracking in our project management system to ensure that our dispersed teams were working efficiently and effectively. Overall, my experience as CEO has provided me with a unique perspective and skillset that I believe will make me an asset as a CTO.

I discovered my passion for programming in school, and from that moment on, I knew that I wanted to develop my skills and pursue a career in this field. While studying at university, I began taking on freelance programming projects for acquaintances, which eventually led to a full-time position with a growing client base.At the time, IT development was not as in-demand as it is today, so I had to acquire all the necessary knowledge and skills on my own. This early experience as a freelancer taught me the importance of self-motivation, self-discipline, and continuous learning—qualities that have stayed with me throughout my career.
