Lootusprojekt is an architectural bureau with a keen passion for sustainable design and neuro-sciences. We have especially high expertise in designing public spaces. We want to understand why people are using the constructed environments as they do. Not only do we know how to design but there are hundreds of hectares of our designed spaces in everyday use built over the last two decades. In Woodfort, our mission is to contribute to reducing the greenhouse gas emission of the construction industry and make building CO2 neutral. Construction produces almost 40% of the world’s CO2. Cement production alone produces a frightening 8% of the global CO2. Woodfort's team works hard to minimise the unfavourable footprint of our industry. We want to hand over the world to our children in better condition than we got it, therefore, we have to find a more sustainable construction solution than concrete. One of the best options is wood. The highest wooden building today is more than 100m high and in the designing process is 350m high building. So we can use wood to build everything today and it is a solid material.
