I am happy to take the first steps with this project as a project manager for a project ”MM29” by city of Lahti. Our target. To create an unique event concept for promoting winter sports in sustainable way. The concept that once again offers something new to skiing world. My key tasks. Run the first steps of candidature process. Work with broad network of shareholders to create a joint effort and commitement to future of winter sports flagship events. Stay connected. During my period new events signed for the company included FIS Junior World Ski Championships 2019, MotoGP Test Event 2019, MXGP Finland 2020-2022 and MotoGP Finland (as a co-production with track company). At the end Lahti was granted the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships by votes 12-3 over runner-up Planica (SLO) by FIS Council. Other candidates were Oberstdorf (GER) and Zakopane (POL).
