Responsible for overseeing the day-today operations of the county's Veterans Service Office Programs. The objective of my positions is to perform exceptional management, administrative, and supervisory work in planning, directing, and administering the Veterans Services Program. My work also includes conducting program analysis and implementation of rules and procedures for developing/tracking and evaluating program performance. Serving approximately 30,000 veterans and families the incumbent's responsibilities are to assist all honorably discharged Seminole County veterans, their dependents, and eligible survivors in matters pertaining to their rights and benefits under various federal and state statutes.

Counsels veterans and/or dependents to determine type of eligibility for veterans' benefits which include but are not limited to: Service Connected Disability Claims, Non- Service Connected Pension Claims, Dependency and Indemnity Compensation, Burial and Memorial Benefits, Debt Waivers, Appeals, Medical Care, Educational Benefits, Life Insurance, Home Loan Guaranty, and Correction of Military Records.Researches military and veteran service records to build effective VA claims linking injuries, diseases, exposures, secondary illnesses and injuries etc. to active duty service and compiles evidence including military service records, military medical records, VA medical records, presumptive illnesses and sicknesses using Veterans Laws, Rules and Regulations.
