The Emerging Developers Accelerator Program (EDAP) is AHT’s minority developer cultivation and training program designed to create pathways to development careers for groups who have historically faced barriers. Created to address the lack of affordable housing and the challenges faced by minorities entering the real estate development ecosystem, the program prepares participants to develop affordable housing by providing learning sessions, technical assistance, consulting and ultimately access to capital.

- Oversaw the annual fundraising efforts, including the annual fund, solicitations, stewardship, and gift acknowledgment; which resulted in an 170% increase; - Oversaw the annual outreach calendar that includes both fundraising and engagement initiatives;- Oversaw the stewardship plan and lead all stewardship-related efforts to donors to I Know I Can;- Worked to provide customized and tailored stewardship for leadership-level donors;- Created the Culture of Philanthropy Committee, which focused on staff and board giving and internal philanthropic efforts, including staff volunteerism; which led to 100% staff/board giving for the first time in IKIC history;- Worked with the marketing and communications team to build engagement efforts for key development constituent groups;- Served as the liaison for our Blackbaud CRM system; - Conducted face-to-face (or virtual) meetings with leadership-level donors;- Developed and ran key reports to support the overall fundraising efforts for I Know I Can;- Worked with the Director of College Funding to support the Founders’ Scholarship Program;- Served as the key point of contact for the development database, including the migration to a new CRM system;- Served as a liaison with the finance and operations team on policies and procedures related to gift processing and fund management/oversight; - Led the I Know I Can Culture of Philanthropy efforts as well as the Culture of Philanthropy Committee, which includes staff giving, volunteerism, and community engagement;- Worked with the Director of Development and Public Relations on strategic planning efforts; - Worked with the Director of Development and Public Relations to create and design the annual Impact Report;- Helped support the needs of the board development and public relations committee.

- Work to create a college-going culture at Columbus Downtown High School using real-time data as well as college and career strategic planning tools;- Meet individually with students and families to provide support and guidance in the process of preparing for college, including college search, college admissions, and finding sufficient financial aid;- Provide group presentations, large and small, for students, parents, and CCS representatives in the schools and at IKIC;- Work to increase college readiness within the Columbus City Schools, by educating students, families, and district representatives on the programs and services provided by the organization;- Assist and lead after-school college planning activities pertaining to Blueprint: College (parent seminars on college readiness), ACT Boot Camp, FAFSA Workshops and I Know I Can funding;- Manage data on college planning activities to ensure students are completing necessary milestones;- Provide mentorship and guidance to students and families experiencing trauma which can interrupt their learning;- Assist the Development Department in the planning, coordination, and fundraising of the Annual Golf Classic.

Established in 2016, Jackson Sports & Leadership Academy embarked on its journey with a primary goal: to equip youth with sport-specific skill development, conditioning, and leadership skills, fostering excellence on the court, in the classroom, and in life.Expanding our commitment in 2018, we extend philanthropic support to organizations that resonate with our mission. Concurrently, we provide academic scholarships to graduates of Columbus City Schools who actively engaged in athletics and pursue higher education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
